Op de laatste dag van het jaar wandel ik naar mijn huisarts. Het is weer Zoladex-time. Voor de twaalfde keer alweer. Ik begon het jaar met een prik en ik eindig het jaar met een lading gosereline in mijn lijf. De naald is deze keer weer groter….denk ik…. Annemieke is voor het eerst mee naar de huisarts, zij schrikt ook even van de grote naald. Het jaar ermee starten en eindigen dus, de cirkel voor 2018 lijkt rond.

Aan het eind van het jaar hard aan het werk om ons nieuwe huis gereed te maken voor de verhuizing. Het wordt mooi, maar ook ik ontkom niet aan IKEA. En dat als high design kantoorinrichter….. De PAX slaapkamerkasten zijn super betaalbaar en gewoon goed. Maar wel een hels karwei om ze in elkaar te zetten. Gelukkig heb ik hulp gehad…. Aan het eind hebben we FIXA nodig om de handgrepen op de kasten te monteren. Handig ding. Tsja, Fixa….. hadden we dat ook maar in de medische wereld, die fixa-medicijnen zijn er nog steeds niet. Wellicht gaat het nieuwe medicijn Lutetium 177 – PSMA verandering brengen. We hebben dit jaar goed doorstaan, eigenlijk geen echte grote klachten. Het jaar was wel super druk en daardoor probeerde ik soms even de kanker te vergeten. Alles zat er in dit jaar : bedrijf verkopen, huis verkopen, bedrijf verhuizen, appartement verbouwen, aktie voeren voor kanker-onderzoek, mijn best doen voor het nieuwe bedrijf, een mooie reis maken. Ik heb niet stil gezeten dit jaar en dat geeft een voldaan gevoel. Heel veel doelen zijn gehaald en misschien heb ik me dit jaar minder verdiept in nieuwe wegen om langer te leven, maar ik heb een rotsvast vertrouwen in de oncoloog die mij behandelt. Dus ‘loslaten’ zat er dit jaar ook echt wel in en dat is goed. Het jaar 2018 is voorbij gevlogen en in 2019 moet ik echt mijn rust-momenten maar eens gaan pakken. In ieder geval staan er mooie dingen op de agenda voor het nieuwe jaar. In ieder geval een paar mooie reizen. Voorlopig is de cirkel even rond. Ik begon ooit in een appartement en nu maak ik weer de stap naar een appartement. En hoe bijzonder is het : vanuit het nieuwe kantoor in Rotterdam [ Lloyd-kwartier] kijk ik uit op het Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, de plek waar mijn leven verlenging zoekt. Nu maar hopen dat 2019 net zo voorspoedig gaat verlopen als 2018.
